Group Sunderland |
T.A.G.S (The Amputees Group Sunderland). was formed in 2002 by
a small group of lower limb amputees in co-ordination with nursing
staff
from
the Sunderland Royal Hospital. The name T.A.G.S. originated from
the initials of The Amputee Group Sunderland. The group felt that
the trauma of having an amputation required added support from patients
who had already experienced this trauma and had overcome their disability,
learned to walk again and many have found that they can still live
their lives to the full
.
